Useful AI begins with the work people already do. Define the decision, the human owner and the evidence needed to judge whether a change is worthwhile.

Start with the purchasing decision

Define the task and the existing tools before comparing another AI product.

Check information and ownership

Consider contract terms, data handling, integration, support and who will be accountable for results.

Keep an exit path

Set a pilot period, acceptance criteria and a plan to stop or switch if the tool does not help.

Questions for your team

What is the current baseline? Which information and permissions does the task require? Who reviews the result and owns exceptions? What would show that the change works in everyday conditions?
